Happy New Year! 2024 was a year of opportunity for San Antonio and our district. As small businesses launch, young people graduate, and seniors settle into retirement, my office is committed to a future where everyone can thrive.

As we start the new year, I’m proud to share my end-of-year report for 2024, which highlights the biggest wins that my office achieved for San Antonio.

Here are some of the highlights:

• Nearly $6 billion in grants and funding for San Antonio programs, including $268 million for VIA’s Green Line bus project, $6 million for Head Start early education classrooms, and nearly $5 million for affordable health care services at CentroMed clinics.

• $1.1 million in individual benefits recovered for San Antonio families, including more than $460,000 in back pay and benefits for veterans.

• Constituent success stories from TX-20, with details about my office's work to help San Antonians with VA benefits, tax refunds, passports, and more.

• Key legislative wins for San Antonio, including the passage of the Social Security Fairness Act, which ends restrictions that unfairly limited Social Security benefits for teachers and other public servants.
