Children are freezing to death in Gaza as another harsh winter sets in amid just under 500 days of humanitarian crisis.

Intense winter cold and heavy rain are creating nightmarish conditions for the millions of displaced people in the region.

On top of that, 70% of Gaza’s infrastructure, from health services to water and sanitation, has been destroyed. The health care system is close to collapse. Only 17 of 36 hospitals are partially functional, while 84% of health care facilities have been destroyed, amid a dire shortage of medical supplies, fuel and food.

But despite the challenges of aid restrictions, UNFPA continues to reach people in Gaza with lifesaving care and resources. Last month alone:

  • 25,000 people received lifesaving sexual and reproductive health services
  • 60,000 people received violence protection services
  • 17,415 women and girls received UNFPA Dignity Kits

As winter sets in, women and girls in Gaza still need your support. Will you donate today to deliver essential healthcare services to women and girls in Gaza and beyond?

MAKE AN EMERGENCY GIFT

We condemn the violence in Lebanon, Gaza, the West Bank, and Israel, and echo the UN Secretary-General’s call for a sustained humanitarian ceasefire and the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages by Hamas. The suffering must end and peace must prevail.

Thank you for being there for women and girls.
