Second Chance Center
Featured on 9News Next with Kyle Clark's Word of Thanks

We’re excited to announce that Second Chance Center (SCC) will be featured on 9News this Wednesday, January 8th at 6:00pm during Next with Kyle Clark's Word of Thanks Microgiving Campaign!

This campaign will spotlight SCC’s new building, Residences on Acoma, a transformative housing development in Denver that will provide 128 permanent supportive and affordable workforce housing units for individuals and families overcoming significant challenges, including chronic homelessness and reentry into the community after incarceration.

A Collaborative Effort for Comprehensive Support

We’re proud to partner with WellPower, a nationally recognized provider of behavioral and mental health services. Together, we’re ensuring residents at Residences on Acoma have access to:

  • Career development programs and paid apprenticeships provided by SCC.
  • Behavioral and mental health support services led by WellPower.

Building Toward the Future

Currently, this four-story building is 40% complete and set to be finished by November 2025. Residences on Acoma will feature:

  • Modern apartments with Energy Star appliances.
  • An underground parking garage.
  • Over 10,860 square feet of community space, including administrative offices, a community kitchen, lounge, and large outdoor courtyard.

How You Can Help

As construction progresses, community support is vital to help residents transition into their new homes.

  • Donations will directly contribute to providing furniture and other essential items to ensure residents feel comfortable and secure in their new homes.
Contribute Here

These items are crucial to helping residents—many overcoming chronic homelessness or reentering the community—feel truly at home and stay housed.

Your generosity can make a lasting impact in creating a place of stability, hope, and opportunity at Residences on Acoma.

📺 Don’t forget to tune in to 9News on January 8th at 6:00pm to learn more about this life-changing project.

Thank you for helping us build brighter futures!

Sincerely,
Alicia Gannon
