Friends,

Today, Congress certified the results of the 2024 Presidential election. We must not take for granted this process and the peaceful transfer of power.

We also cannot forget the truth of Jan. 6, 2021. On that day, violent insurrectionists stormed the Capitol to try to overturn the election; to steal the presidency from the American people. Despite their efforts, our institutions held and democracy prevailed.

Let us use today as a reminder that we must work together to defend free and fair elections every day.
