Happy New Year! I hope you found sometime to relax, unwind, and take a few minutes to reflect on all the ups and downs, challenges and victories that you may have had, and hopefully  by now have recovered from the holidays and made some resolutions for things you'd like to accomplish in 2025. 

Our resolution: not fumble the ball and elect a democratic governor this November.

The Executive Board will formally meet for the first time on January 18th to discuss our plans for the upcoming year. We are excited to get to work for our members and approximately 42,000+ Young Dems. 

2025 AYD Policy Platform Survey

As part of our realignment process for 2025, the AYD Executive Board has decided to suspend caucuses for the year as we evaluate our organizational structure and explore ways to strengthen our advocacy efforts.

Throughout this process, AYD remains dedicated to championing the issues that matter most to young Democrats. To guide our work, we are launching the 2025 Policy Platform Survey, which will help define our policy priorities and advocacy initiatives for the year. We encourage all members to complete the survey by February 11, 2025. Additionally, we will host a work session on the policy platform during our January General Body Meeting.

VAYD Lobby Day

Want a chance to directly talk to your legislators and tell them how you want them to vote. Here is your chance to do so on our Statewide Annual Lobby day on February 17th in Richmond. Make sure to RSVP by January 12th.
