Today marks the fourth anniversary of one of the darkest days in our nation’s history: January 6, 2021. On that day, a group of MAGA extremists led an attack on our Capitol at the behest of Donald Trump after he refused to accept the results of our free and fair election.

Now, four years later, Donald Trump is set to take office for another term in just two weeks.

In 2024, millions of Americans decided the events of January 6 weren’t a dealbreaker — that they wanted our country to be led by someone who attempted to undermine our democratic process through violence and lies.

Over the next four years, it’s going to be up to folks like you and me to be the first line of defense against MAGA extremism and hold Donald Trump accountable for what he’s done and will continue to do.

I need you standing by my fellow House Democrats and me as we work to combat extremism on the House floor.
