I’m not afraid to face MAGA extremism head-on and hold the truth to power—but I need you by my side.

John,

Four years ago, our nation watched in horror as violent insurrectionists stormed the Capitol. January 6th wasn’t just an attack on a building—it was an assault on democracy itself.

Donald Trump organized that mob in a desperate attempt to overturn the results of a free and fair election. It was an attack on the rule of law, on free elections, and on the very America we believe in.

January 6th was a wake-up call. It exemplified the true danger of MAGA extremism. But most of all, it proved that our democracy is fragile.

I’ve witnessed firsthand the consequences of unchecked lies and authoritarianism. My twin brother and I blew the whistle on Trump’s attempt to extort Ukraine, a decision that cost me my lifelong military career. Yet, I would make the same choice again—because defending our democracy is always worth the sacrifice.

But now, as Donald Trump is once again set to take the oath of office, our country faces the threat of authoritarianism at his hands. A second Trump presidency will be unpredictable and test our democracy like never before. MAGA extremism is no longer a fear, it is a direct threat to our institutions, our freedoms, and the rule of law.

John, I’ve stood up to Trump before, and as one of Virginia’s newest congressmen, I’m ready to do it again. I’m not afraid to face MAGA extremism head-on and hold the truth to power—but I need you by my side.

Please, if you can, contribute $3 or whatever you can afford to my pro-democracy movement today.

January 6th showed us that our democracy isn’t guaranteed—it’s something we must fight for every single day. Together, we’ll make sure this upcoming chapter in our history isn’t the end of democracy—it’s the beginning of its resurgence.

Let’s get to work.
