Happy New Year from Freedom Network USA!
As the new year begins, the same fight continues. We're still fighting to protect survivors every day. Inauguration Day is in a few days, and we need your help.
The last time that Donald Trump was elected, our Executive Director, Jean Bruggeman, discussed how the Administration caused harm to survivors.
Trump will be back in office, and we need to make sure that survivors are not harmed.
There's still time to join the fight.
When a survivor has a criminal record as a result of their trafficking experience, it becomes incredibly hard for them to regain stability. Their criminal record blocks their access to safe housing, employment, and education. It also makes them much more likely to be trafficked again. We need extensive criminal record relief options at the state and federal levels.
FNUSA's Survivor Reentry Project is the only national program that provides criminal record relief for human trafficking survivors by connecting them to a nationwide network of pro bono lawyers. Our work has helped thousands of survivors find new hope, but the last Trump Administration blocked legal aid agencies from helping survivors clear these unjust records and rebuild their lives. FNUSA fought the restriction until it was finally removed. We must be ready to fight it again.
We need YOUR help to keep our efforts going. People like you understand that every survivor counts.
Please help protect survivors.
