My good friend, Senator Tina Smith, is running for re-election this year, and hers is a must-win seat in a must-win state if Democrats want to flip the Senate and the White House. Let me explain.

Minnesota was just ranked as one of the top 10 Senate seats most likely to flip by the Associated Press.

To make matters worse, Donald Trump nearly eked out a win in Minnesota in 2016. Both Wisconsin and Minnesota are at the very top of Trump’s target list this time around. That’s why his campaign is dumping money and resources into our states.

The Trump campaign has already made more than ONE MILLION voter contacts in Minnesota alone — which means Tina’s Republican opponent could easily ride Trump’s coattails to victory.

But we know how to win this fight. After Trump won our state by less than one percentage point in 2016, we came back and won our race by double digits in 2018. That says a lot about the strength of our movement.

So, I'm personally asking each and every one of you to rally behind Tina or she could lose this race, we could lose our shot at taking back the Senate, and Trump could win BOTH of our states. Split a donation of $10 or more between our campaigns to prevent this worst-case scenario:

Trump and his deep-pocketed allies will do everything they can to flip Minnesota red and win in Wisconsin again — and if Republicans win the Midwest, they win the White House and the Senate again. That’s the whole ballgame.

We have what it takes to stop them, but it will require all of us coming together. As always, I’m grateful to you for being a part of this fight.
