The Washington Post explains a new proposal to raid future Social Security benefits for coronavirus relief now:

Senior White House economic officials also are exploring a proposal floated by two conservative scholars that would allow Americans to choose to receive checks of up to $5,000 in exchange for a delay of their Social Security benefits, according to three people familiar with the internal matter.

And this week, Politico reports that coronavirus could force Social Security into insolvency by 2030, as out-of-work Americans are unable to contribute into the system.

Social Security is under attack. Arati Kreibich is running for Congress to preserve Social Security for generations to come by making wealthy Americans pay their fair share.

And she’ll fight any attempts to raid the Social Security benefits we’ve worked for our whole lives.
