Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility

Hi Friend,

Each Memorial Day, we honor and show our gratitude for service members who paid the ultimate price for the freedoms that we enjoy each day. Traditionally, this means parades, fireworks, picnics and other types of celebrations. This year, we will be spending this long weekend in a different way, but we still pay tribute to those military men and women who died—both before our times and in more recent history.

If you choose to commemorate the fallen protectors of our freedom with a drink with your family, your close circle of friends—or even by yourself—we want to remind you to drink responsibly. Be aware of your consumption, eat a full meal beforehand, be sure to alternate alcoholic beverages with water or other non-alcoholic drinks, and never serve alcohol to people under the legal drinking age.

Chris Swonger, our president and CEO, has these words to add as we enter into the long weekend—observed differently than before—but with continued gratitude for our military families.

Have a safe, happy and responsible Memorial Day weekend!
