The Nominations Committee is pleased to announce the list of candidates running for DSA-LA’s Subgroup leadership for the 2025 term. Unless otherwise stated, each committee is lead by up to 2 chairs and up to 2 coordinators. Roles with * are uncontested. Before the voting period starts on January 9, members will have the opportunity to hear from candidates and ask them questions about their vision for DSA-LA, their subgroup work, and what they hope to accomplish in their position. Elections will be held for all uncontested positions. As we did for our Steering Committee and Branch Coordinator elections, the Nominations Committee will be using the STAR voting method. Single winner elections, like the role of Administrative Committee chair, will use STAR. All other elections are multi-winner and will use STAR Proportional Representation, or STAR-PR. We are hosting another candidate forum for our Subgroup Leaders on Wednesday, January 8th on Zoom. Candidates will be available to answer questions from members about their committee work and their vision for the chapter in 2025. The Nominations Committee is also collecting questions in advance if you would like to email us at [email protected].
