Happy Memorial Day weekend!

I join you in thanking the members of our community and citizens of our country who have served, and remembering those who we have lost in service.

Though the usual festivities will not be taking place as planned this year, I hope you are able to take time this weekend to rest and find new ways to celebrate. I know it’s hard—this is a holiday usually marked by gatherings with family, parades, and other events to honor our veterans and kick off summer. However, we must be sure to continue practicing social distancing and ensuring the safety of our communities.

The more we do to stay safe and protect our neighbors this weekend, the sooner we will be able to celebrate holidays as a community again.

In the meantime, I wish you the best and hope you stay safe while still having a pleasant holiday.
