Mahwah, NJ - Frank Pallotta, a 30-year Mahwah, NJ resident and and former Goldman Sachs invertment banker, announced the formation of an exploratory committee to consider a run for New Jersey’s 39th Legislative District Assembly seat, positioning him as a potential challenger to incumbent Assemblyman Robert Auth for the Republican nomination in 2025.

Pallotta cited diminishing support for Assemblyman Auth and a growing disconnect between Auth and his voter base as the primary reasons for his decision. "New Jersey's evolving political landscape demands a representative who reflects the kitchen table concerns of a broad voter base," he stated. "In addition, Bob's growing alliance with gubernatorial candidate Jon Bramnick, who late last year was the sole Republican YES vote on the Senate's "Freedom to Read" Act (A3446) creating the option to allow minors access to sexually explicit materials, has become troublesome for some prominent Republican leaders and grass-roots conservatives in the District and across the State". Pallotta continued, "LD39 needs a representative who understands the needs of our community, not someone coasting on tenure. If this is what Assemblyman Auth calls 'politics as usual', it’s time for a change".

Pallotta pointed to an unexpectedly narrow margin of victory in the 2023 LD39 Assembly race as evidence of Auth's eroding support in the district. "The 2023 Assembly race, one of the closest in nearly two decades, clearly demonstrates the need for new leadership in District 39. We cannot afford to lose this seat as we did with CD5," he said, referencing the 2016 upset in a long-held Republican Congressional district. "No voice is louder than that of the voters, and right now, I appear to be the only one listening."

Following the 2024 election cycle, Pallotta plans to engage voters across the district to discuss pressing issues such as parental rights, the regulatory hurdles preventing business & job growth, overdevelopment, recurring flooding, and the increasing tax burden on our residents. Furthermore, in Trenton Pallotta pledges to champion small business growth, support of local law enforcement, and address the high cost of housing.

Pallotta's team will assess support for a campaign centered on re-building a fractured Legislative team in District 39, with a focus on the issues affecting our residents, specifically seniors and the veteran community. With a proven track record of decisive CD5 primary victories in 2020 and 2022, Pallotta is prepared to put in the work necessary to faithfully serve all of LD39.
