Anita will never fail us.

Hi John,

Love fuels hope, the type of hope that can change today and the future.

Anita reminds me of this every day. No matter how hard the fight, she finds the silver lining, she shares love and kindness with those who need it most and she embraces possibility.

Even now, as we are all tested in an unprecedented way.

She has an unfaltering belief in the power of family, community, teams, colleagues, peers and neighbors to overcome and to stand united for what's right.

Over the past three years, as I've watched her fight for our community and the country she loves so much, I have heard countless speeches, but one of her messages always stands out in my mind.

"We must keep families together.

Every family, those in our community, around the country and at the border. We must protect our families that are living paycheck-to-paycheck, we must keep our families safe from senseless gun violence and cruel policies, and we must protect health care as a right for all. Without our health, what do we have?

And no one should ever be able to regulate love. No one should be able to tell us who we can love or what makes a family."

Anita believes in love.

Today, on our 10th wedding anniversary, I love her even more, and I am proud to be in this fight with her.

To me, her strength is remarkable and admirable. She has healed our family while inspiring change, and she will never fail us.

Thank you for standing with us and with hope.

Love wins,
James
