Legislative Update
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Happy New Year! I hope you were able to spend time with your families and prepare for a big year over the past week.
We're now just over a week away from the 2025 Legislative Session and I couldn't be more excited to work with our Republican Majority to deliver results for Minnesota. One of our biggest priorities will be stopping the rampant fraud that has been allowed to take place in our state over the past few years. Our caucus has come up with a comprehensive plan that will be released in the coming days, so stay tuned!
Accountability and transparency are at the heart of our legislative agenda. Minnesotans deserve to know how their tax dollars are spent and to have confidence that every penny is going toward programs that benefit our communities instead of fraudsters. Over the past few years, we’ve seen too many instances of waste and mismanagement. Our upcoming proposals will focus on closing loopholes, strengthening oversight, and ensuring that state programs serve their intended purposes effectively and efficiently.
In addition to tackling fraud, we will be focused on addressing the issues that impact our families every day. From ensuring schools have the resources they need to deliver a world-class education, to making Minnesota a safer place to live, work, and raise a family, our caucus is committed to making meaningful progress this year. As we’ve discussed, public safety is a top concern. Families in our district and across the state want to feel safe in their communities. We’re committed to providing law enforcement with the tools and support they need to do their jobs effectively, while fostering strong community relationships.
Another major focus will be making life more affordable for Minnesotans. Whether it’s tackling high energy costs, providing tax relief, or addressing housing affordability, we are committed to advancing policies that allow hardworking Minnesotans to keep more of their money and thrive.
Finally, we’re determined to stand up for our students and parents. Educational outcomes in Minnesota have fallen behind, and it’s time to put kids first. That means empowering parents with more choices, supporting innovative teaching methods, and ensuring every child has access to a quality education regardless of their zip code.
As always, I want to hear from you. Your input is invaluable as we work to represent the values and priorities of our district. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to my office with your ideas, concerns, or questions. Together, we can make 2025 a year of real progress for Minnesota.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement. Let’s get to work!
