Just a few short days into 2025, communities across the country are
already experiencing gun violence that will impact them for the rest of
their lives.
This is why we can't stop fighting. With our lives at stake, our resolve
to end gun violence only grows stronger.
And with Trump making his way into the White House and the gun lobby
preparing to once again cozy up with his administration, any progress can
feel miles away. But here's how we at Everytown are bolstering our efforts
to keep pushing forward in 2025:

One Race At a Time

Everytown is cultivating a pipeline of volunteers-turned-lawmakers across
the country, creating a lasting impact for years to come. In the last
cycle, 333 Everytown volunteers were elected in 42 states. Looking ahead
in 2025, we're gearing up to support over 750 volunteers in their
campaigns!

Moving the Needle

Everytown has been a driving force in shaping state legislatures,
positioning us to continue advancing critical gun safety laws at the state
level—a cornerstone of our political success. And now we have more Gun
Sense Champions in Congress and in governers' offices than ever before to
help with this fight.

We Know How to Counter Trump's Dangerous Gun Safety Measures
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
During Trump's first term, we successfully blocked the NRA's top federal
priorities. Now, Trump has reportedly "lost faith" in the NRA, which has
dwindled from his largest outside supporter to a political afterthought.
Meanwhile, our grassroots movement has grown to nearly three times their
size, showcasing our unmatched strength.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg. We're hopeful for the future of
our movement and progressing gun safety even further despite recent
electoral setbacks.
