With its public face, BNP is bragging about its “human rights commitments” and “ethical investments”, but the ugly truth is this: BNP is the Top 1 European creditor of both the illegal settlements AND the weapon manufacturers delivering arms to Israel! By targeting BNP, we’re checking two boxes at once. 

The UN has exposed: 97 companies have enabled and profited from illegal Israeli settlements in Palestine – and nearly half of these receive investments from BNP. These loans and underwritings amount to a whopping 28 million USD and to 4.6 million USD in shares and bonds in these companies.

Palestinians are human beings, parents, doctors, teachers, bakers, grandchildren, students, friends, engineers, elders, robbed of each one of their most basic human rights. They have been undergoing an unimaginable amount of suffering over generations and the ongoing genocide has inspired even more settler violence, with at least 1,423 violent attacks by settlers — resulting in severe destruction, injuries, humiliation, and deaths and more land grabs. 

It’s time to make financiers like BNP ashamed of their actions. Leaving them no rest until they respect basic human rights and international law. Are you in?
