Today marks the beginning of the 119th session of Congress. As we write this, Republicans are in the midst of beginning their vote on whether or not they will keep Congressman Mike Johnson as Speaker of the House.

Speaker Johnson's grasp over his Speakership role is especially perilous given the presence of a growing faction of ultra-rightwing “rebels” within the Republican Caucus who played the decisive role in the ouster of his predecessor.

Making Johnson’s position even worse is the defection of Congresswoman Victoria Spartz (R-IN), who announced last month that she would be leaving the House Republican Conference. When combined with all of the vacancies that opened up after Trump appointed sitting members of Congress to his cabinet, it leaves the GOP with a single vote majority.

You’ve probably seen the iconic internet clickbait ads that promise one weird trick for fat loss or instant six pack abs, well we’ve got one weird trick of our own to DESTROY the Republican House Majority in three short months.

It’s simple. All we have to do is win this race, which to be clear, will be no small undertaking and if we can do that, boom, the republican majority goes from one to zero - Trump’s beyond-sinister Project 2025 agenda will be hamstrung and unable to clear passage in the house and on top of this Democrats could even call for a new vote and seize the speakership.

Our race is on April 1st, we are the only race in the nation right now as no other special election dates have been decided upon yet. This means we could theoretically coalesce the entire Democratic base around this one race—but we need to get the word out.
