# [#]Hi Friend,

I was just sworn in to serve the people of Texas’s 20th District in the 119th Congress.

It’s an honor to continue representing this district in a new Congress. But as we begin this new session, one thing is clear: our work will be cut out for us.

Extreme House Republicans and Donald Trump are determined to push an agenda that attacks immigrants, slashes benefits for workers and their families, and hands out massive tax breaks to billionaires, special interests, and big corporations.

I want you to know that I return to Washington ready to fight for you. I’ll continue standing up for working families. I’ll defend critical programs like Social Security and Medicare. And I’ll fight back against policies that benefit billionaires and special interests at the expense of hard working Americans.

But I can’t do it alone. The challenges ahead are real, and our opponents are backed by powerful monied interests. Your support will ensure our movement for working people has the resources to fight back against Trump and extreme House Republicans’ harmful agenda.

Can you chip in $10, or whatever you can, to support us in the fights ahead? Your support will help us defend working families in Texas and across the nation as we begin this new Congress. [[link removed]]

Thank you for your continued support and trust as we begin this new Congress. I’m grateful to have you on this team.

With gratitude,
– Joaquin
