John, though Georgia hasn’t been recognized by the rest of the nation as a battleground state for long, Georgia Democrats proved in 2024 that the Peach State is in play — and that’s thanks to the support of folks like you. Though the outcome of the 2024 presidential race wasn’t what we worked so hard for, we achieved Democratic gains in many swing and even deep-red counties — AND we increased Kamala Harris's vote total over President Biden's winning total in 2020 by more than 74,000 votes. That’s a bigger increase than every other battleground state combined! We know that progress is not a linear path and that movements like ours do not come and go overnight. Our movement is bigger than a single race or election cycle — it persists through both wins and losses, progress and setbacks. 2024’s election result is a setback, but it is not a defeat. We entered the 2024 cycle as a new presidential battleground state, and we cemented our status as one for cycles to come. We know that there is hard work ahead to elect Democrats up and down the ballot in 2026, and we’re ready to do that work. It’s going to take a strong coalition of grassroots supporters to maximize Democratic momentum in Georgia ahead of the 2026 and 2028 elections, and building that coalition starts here and now.
