This afternoon, I’ll proudly raise my right hand and take the oath to serve our country and defend our Colorado values for another term. And let me tell you — this moment, this honor — it wouldn’t be possible without you. Before the ceremonies begin, I want to share what I expect as this new Congress starts.

If the past few years have taught us anything, it’s that the House GOP thrives on chaos. They’ve spent their time in leadership ignoring the issues that matter most: building an economy that works for everyone, ending the gun violence epidemic, access to healthcare, reproductive freedoms, safeguarding Social Security and Medicare, and tackling the climate crisis. Instead, they’ve plunged our government into crisis after crisis.

Frankly, I don’t see that changing.

But here’s what also won’t change: My unwavering commitment to you. The road ahead might be steeper, but I firmly believe we can achieve progress — even in the most challenging circumstances.
