Phil Weiser for Colorado

After our launch yesterday, I received overwhelming encouragement and support. It truly means a lot. Thank you.

As part of the launch, I joined 9News to talk about our campaign to become Colorado’s next governor. In case you missed it (and you can watch it here), let me tell you a little bit about what this campaign is all about.

As your Attorney General, I’ve shown up all across Colorado, visiting all 64 counties multiple times. I have made it a priority to listen to Coloradans’ concerns – and to get results for them.

It’s why I’ve regularly gone to the San Luis Valley to learn about the effects of the opioid crisis. Taking those concerns to heart, I took on Big Pharma to make sure we got results. Because of our work, we brought back $800 million to Coloradans by holding irresponsible actors like Johnson & Johnston and Purdue Pharma to account. With those funds, we created a nationally recognized model that is supporting drug treatment centers, recovery services, and more to support people and save lives.

I have a record of listening to people and getting things done. That’s the fight I’m going to continue as your governor and if that’s a fight you believe in, then please make a donation to my campaign today →

I am committed to being a governor who cares about and knows Colorado.

I’ve spent years building relationships with people across Colorado, showing that not only do I listen, but I care and that I can get results.

Together, we’ve accomplished a lot:

  • We protected Coloradans' pocketbooks: by helping to block the merger of grocery giants Kroger and Albertsons, standing up against irresponsible companies that harmed consumers (and returning $400 million to consumers), and holding accountable those that are illegally hiking up rents through price fixing;
  • We made our communities safer: by prosecuting drug rings, supporting responsible and effective law enforcement, pushing for and defending gun safety measures like safe gun storage, and fighting the opioid crisis with innovative and collaborative solutions;
  • We’re protecting our land, air, and water: by leading the effort to hold accountable the producers of “forever chemicals,” pushing for a new state law that protects water quality standards, and holding polluters accountable; and
  • We’ve stood up for our rural neighbors, farmers, and ranching families: by working with community colleges to expand rural housing options, supporting broadband access, and stopping the scheme to divert water from our rural communities.

I am honored to do this critical work day in and out – and I’m inspired to take on the important work ahead.

There are many reasons why I’m running to lead this state I love, but the biggest reason is simple: I’m committed to fighting for the people of Colorado.
