Friends —

Today marks the first day of the 119th Congress, and my priorities this year remain focused on Northwest Washington. It is an honor to represent the 2nd District — one that I never take for granted.

This Congress has the opportunity to cut through political divisions and address the concerns of hardworking Americans. I will lead by example as the top Democrat on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, and continue to prioritize bipartisan efforts and putting the American people first. I am committed to protecting reproductive freedom, combatting fentanyl in our communities, building an economy that works for everyone, increasing access to health care, and supporting our veterans.

My colleagues and I in the 119th Congress have a lot of important work ahead of us. I am committed to working together where I can, resisting where I must, and making progress on the issues that matter most to you.

More soon,

Rick
