Dear John,

I hold the Uvalde parents who lost their children in the Robb Elementary massacre in 2022 in the very highest esteem.

They’ve experienced what is, for most of us, unimaginable tragedy. And instead of shrinking from the world or the politics that have so badly failed them, they have engaged at a level beyond what most other Texans would be willing to.

That has included advocating publicly for improved gun laws and school safety, meeting with lawmakers at the state and federal level, testifying in nationally broadcast hearings and even running for political office.

Now the Uvalde parents are hosting an exhibit of photos in Austin to honor the Uvalde victims and their families, and continue the necessary conversations about gun violence. They hope to put faces and a compelling emotional connection to the number one killer of children in America - guns.

Amy and I have made a contribution to help underwrite this exhibit and provide support to the Uvalde families and their fight for common-sense gun legislation. I hope you will too.
