Mitch McConnell has decided that a global pandemic with the highest unemployment rates since the Great Depression is the perfect time to cut unemployment benefits.
 
Apparently McConnell’s rejection of the trillion-dollar HEROES Act, which would provide support for local governments and direct cash payments to Americans, wasn’t enough. Mitch has now gone a step further -- demanding unemployment benefits be reduced in what POLITICO calls “a hardening of McConnell’s position and a dismissal of House Democrats’ priorities before talks even begin.”
 
Mitch McConnell makes almost $200,000 a year and reported a family inheritance between $5 million and $25 million in 2008. If Mitch lost his job, he’d be just fine -- so the American people should feel comfortable firing him. Tell us what you think:
