In December, the Biden-Harris administration set a new U.S. climate target to achieve 61 to 66% below 2005 levels by 2035 as part of the Paris Agreement. Inslee as part of the US Climate Alliance Governors for pledging to work collectively with states and local governments to achieve this goal. [[link removed]] We are eager to see governor-elect Bob Ferguson continue this work!

STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Robinson Low
Robinson (he/him) is WCA's Habitat Policy Manager on the Puget Sound team. He is Chinese-American and currently lives in Seattle.
Robinson chose to join WCA in 2023 because it was the perfect opportunity to apply what he had learned through grad school.
"WCA appealed to me because they work at the junction of science and policy, and because they have an additional focus on environmental and social justice."
As the Habitat Policy Manager, Robinson works with local governments, state agencies, Tribal Nations, and other NGOs to develop and advocate for more effective policies. Specifically, his role focuses on the restoration and protection of salmon habitats.
"My favorite part of this role is how I’m able to meaningfully engage in spaces where local governments or state agencies are collaborating with Tribes to more effectively co-manage the land."
Outside of work, Robinson enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and finding the nearest source of water to jump in! He is also a big fan of board games.
