Barbara, on the other hand, has been serving in the Kansas State Legislature since 2010.
If elected, she'll break three separate records!

She can become Kansas' first Democratic woman senator, the Senate's first woman
physician to serve, and Kansas' first Democratic senator since 1939.

And her victory would bring Democrats one seat closer to flipping the Senate.
