LGBTQ+ youth are kicking off the new year knowing that you—and hundreds of supporters like you—are committed to seeing them live joyfully and free. We’re stepping into 2025 determined to counter negativity and hate with joy, our brightest light in the dark.

Thanks to your generosity and conviction (and the eleventh hour support of a committed donor), our Joy Rebellion was a success. You have enabled us to continue mentoring and empowering the LGBTQ+ leaders of tomorrow, funding student-led grants to make schools and communities more affirming, and carving out safe spaces for connection—both online and in person.

LGBTQ+ youth may face massive challenges in the year ahead, but as we’ve seen time and time again throughout this campaign, joy is always within them. It’s in their activism, their confidence, and their ability to stand boldly in their truth. As Youth Voices member Aki reminded us, “Queer joy isn’t just an action or a feeling, it’s our entire being.”

That joy grows stronger when LGBTQ+ youth are surrounded by people, stories, and resources that remind them they’re valued, celebrated, and supported. When they turn to It Gets Better, they know they have friends like you by their side.
