January 2025

new

As we say goodbye to 2024, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for your unwavering dedication and tireless efforts within your communities and Crime Stoppers programs. Your contributions often go unnoticed, yet you consistently rise to the challenge, offering your best even in the toughest times. You are the protectors of our families, homes, communities, and way of life.

Crime Stoppers serves as a vital bridge between citizens and law enforcement, empowering individuals to share critical information anonymously. The collaboration between law enforcement agencies and Crime Stoppers volunteers across our great state is truly commendable.  Your presence in our streets, in our schools, neighborhoods, and events fosters a profound sense of security, enabling all of us to live our lives with greater piece of mind.

Your selfless dedication and the countless sacrifices you make have a far-reaching impact – not just on your local community but on all Texans. The thousands of hours you devote to processing anonymous tips have led to countless arrests, the seizure of millions of dollars’ worth of narcotics and weapons from our streets, and justice for countless crime victims.  Your work is invaluable and deeply appreciated.

I want to personally thank you for your relentless commitment to making the state of Texas a safer and better place. It takes extraordinary perseverance, focus, and heart to do what you do, and the positive impact of your efforts resonates across our entire state.

As we approach the new year, I’m excited to continue our collaboration and look forward to the amazing achievements we will accomplish together in the year ahead. Your efforts are making a difference, and I’m confident we’ll continue to make great strides in 2025.

Lyndsay Ysla - Director, Texas Crime Stoppers

Happy Crime Stoppers Awareness Month!

Each January, we dedicate the month to celebrating the achievements of Crime Stoppers and encouraging more Texans to get involved in this important cause. Over the past year, Crime Stoppers programs across Texas have generated more than 62,000 anonymous tips, which have led to the arrest of 3,000 suspects, the payment of over $1.2 million in rewards, and the seizure of $6.3 million worth of narcotics through law enforcement action triggered by these tips. These remarkable results demonstrate the immense value of Crime Stoppers' proven approach—anonymity for tipsters and the incentive of rewards—to make a tangible impact in our communities.

Please help spread the word by sharing this proclamation and encouraging all Texans to join this vital effort. Together, we can build a safer and brighter future for our state.
