Over the past few years, Jaime has led the fight in Washington to restore native salmon and steelhead in the Columbia River. 

After a successful sea lion removal plan along the Upper Willamette River saw steelhead numbers rebound beyond expectations, it’s clear that this approach could produce dramatic results on the Columbia. 

Jaime fiercely advocated for doing just that, and had her bill to expand the sea lion control efforts signed into law by the president. By championing this plan, we could see a significant boost in native fish numbers in the coming years.
