Friend --
As we approach the 4th anniversary of the
attack on the United States Capitol and our Democracy, we must take a
moment to reflect on the courage and sacrifice of the men and women
who stood in harm’s way to defend our nation that day. The bravery of
the Capitol Hill Police and the DC Metropolitan Police is something we
must never forget. At Country First, we remain
forever indebted to their service.
While some, like Donald Trump, claim to “Back the Blue,” their
actions tell a different story—pledging to pardon rioters who attacked
Police Officers, assaulted Police Officers and used weapons like bear
spray and tasers against Police Officers, is not supportive of them,
pardoning rioters dishonors them.
At Country First, we don’t just talk about
honoring our law enforcement heroes—we act. That’s why we’re
organizing a Thank You Letter Drive to express our
deepest gratitude to the Capitol Hill Police and the DC Metropolitan
Police.
Here’s how you can join us in saying thank
you:
-
Email your letter to us at [email protected]
-
Mail your handwritten note to:
Country First PO
Box 2385 Ottawa, IL 61350
Your message can be long or short—it’s the sentiment that matters.
Whether it’s a heartfelt letter or a simple “Thank You,” your words
will show these officers that their sacrifices have not been
forgotten.
By participating, you’re doing more than expressing gratitude.
You’re:
- Showing Capitol Police and DC Metro Police that you care.
- Standing firmly against the idea that attacking law enforcement is
acceptable.
- Demonstrating that truth matters.
- Rejecting the pardoning of rioters found guilty in a court of
law.
At Country First, we believe in true support for
our law enforcement heroes—not just in words, but in action. Let’s
step up and show these brave officers what it really means to “Back
the Blue.”
Together, we can honor their service and remind them that we stand
with them—always.
