The new Congress is sworn in today.

Here’s what that means:

Republicans in the House of Representatives are convening a special committee to staff Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy’s Slash & Burn Commission―which could threaten our Social Security system.

Democrats no longer hold the majority in either chamber of Congress. But that doesn’t mean we’re powerless. Every time plutocrats like Elon Musk and Donald Trump have had their knives out for Social Security in the past, the people have stopped them. If we stand together, we will do it again.

We will be on Capitol Hill, lifting up Social Security’s allies and exposing its enemies. If we are successful, the plutocrats will sweep this whole attempt under the rug, claiming that they never wanted to cut Social Security and Medicare.
