Join us for our upcoming webinar training titled: How Universities Invest in Fossil Fuels Through Wall Street Funds. This training will take place on June 2nd at 4pm ET. You can register for the webinar training here.

Movements are growing on campuses across the US to get colleges and universities to divest from their fossil fuel holdings. This webinar will give a brief overview of the different ways universities invest in fossil fuels and show participants how to research a major - yet often neglected - form of university fossil fuel investments: private equity funds.

Participants will learn more about how universities invest in fossil fuels through different financial instruments, how to research these investments, and how to use this research creatively and strategically to challenge university fossil fuel investments. Participants will come away from the webinar with new research skills and resources, including an introduction to power mapping, that they can take to their campaigns.

The webinar will consist of a 45 minute training followed by 15 minutes of discussion. It is aimed primarily at campus divestment organizers but also open to anyone from the wider public with an interest in how campus finances are tied to corporate interests and how those finances could be reallocated more justly.
