Ice and snow warnings this weekend

With freezing temperatures seeing us into January and weather warnings in place for the weekend for snow and ice, our gritting crews will be out nightly, spreading grit on the busiest roads and keeping essential journeys such as those to hospitals and schools safe.

Motorists are reminded to

* leave extra time for your journey
* have de-icer and scraper in your car
* clear ice and / or snow before setting off

Maid Marian Way project continues

From 6 January 2025, works begin on the kerbs on Maid Marian Way west which will mean there will be lane closures on Maid Marian Way northbound, with some night working and some day working. Please allow extra time for your journey if you plan to travel northbound through the junction.

Footpath works on Tollhouse Hill also begin from 6 January 2025, so the bus stop Y7 will be suspended for up to ten weeks. Passengers are asked to use the preceding stop Y5 on Wollaton Street.
