Air Forces Nixes Height Requirement to Diversify Cockpits
The Air Force removed minimum height requirements, which disqualified about 44 percent of the U.S. female population, for applicants who want to fly as it looks to diversify its cockpits. USAF now will apply an “anthropometric screening process” that measures a candidate's physical attributes, such as arm length and seated height, to match them with aircraft they can safely fly.
