Under 10 percent goes to the county services with just over 10 percent designated for roads; about 30 percent for state education; 30 percent for local schools; 15 percent for fire districts; and about 5 pecent for other services. An accompanying pie chart shows that Kitsap County gets 18.3 percent of a property tax dollar with the other 81.7 percent going to other taxing authorities.
An overview of the county's 2025 budget at Manchester community meeting Jan. 7
Kitsap residents are invited to attend the Jan. 7 meeting of the Manchester Community Advisory Council for a discussion focused on Kitsap County's 2025 budget. Administrative Services Director Amber Dunwiddie and Financial Manager Kristofer Carlson provide an overview and there will be time for questions. The meeting takes place 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Manchester Library. 8067 E. Main Street. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

The Manchester Community Advisory Council holds public monthly meetings to provide a discussion forum and enhance communication between Manchester-area residents, businesses and Kitsap County government. MCAC members work proactively to address community issues and concerns.
