Dear A.,

As the IDF continues to operate on multiple fronts to defend Israeli families, Israel

declassified new information about a remarkable operation to destroy an Iranian missile factory deep inside Syria in September.

Elite Israeli Air Force commandos penetrated more than 120 miles north of Israel to demolish an underground facility used by Iranian forces to manufacture precision missiles for Hezbollah.

The facility, codenamed by the military "Deep Layer," was dug into a mountain more than 200 feet underground, in an area controlled by the Assad regime.

On the evening of September 8, Israeli commandos boarded their transport helicopters and set off from an airbase in Israel for Syria, accompanied by two attack helicopters, 21 fighter jets, five drones and 14 spy planes and other aircraft.

After flying over the Mediterranean, the aircraft crossed into Syria, flying low to avoid radar and air defense systems.

The helicopters deposited the commandos near the entrance of the facility, where they killed the few guards standing at the entrance to the site, and went inside to plant explosives and collect intelligence. Watch the video released by the IDF below:

After more than two hours on the ground, the commandos were picked up by their helicopters, and remotely detonated the explosives as they boarded.

The facility was in the final stages of construction, and the IDF believes it would have been able to produce as many as 300 precision-guided missiles every year.

As more is revealed about Israel's incredible operations over the last year to degrade and destroy Iranian-backed terror proxies, I encourage you to listen to Dan Senor's latest podcast with Ronen Bergman, featuring detailed reporting about Israel's decade-long operation to infiltrate Hezbollah.

"The string of Israeli successes against Hezbollah — culminating in the killing of Hassan Nasrallah — last September was partly the work of Israeli military and intelligence agencies infiltrating Hezbollah’s networks, planting booby-trapped communication devices, and tracking the leaders’ movements to dismantle the group's military capabilities. This campaign crippled Hezbollah by also destroying thousands of missiles and disrupting its leadership, delivering a blow to Iran’s regional strategy."

Israel continues Gaza operations, striking Hamas terrorists

Today, the IDF

confirmed it killed Hamas' police chief Mahmoud Salah in a strike in the al-Mawasi humanitarian area west of Khan Younis. As Hamas’ head of internal security, the IDF said he was responsible for "severely violating the human rights" of Gazan civilians, including "violent interrogations," as well as taking part in planning attacks against Israeli troops.

This is yet another example of Hamas leaders and fighters exploiting humanitarian areas and using innocent Gazans as human shields.

The IDF also struck a command center run by Hamas operatives inside the Khan Younis municipality building, within the boundaries of the humanitarian zone.

Earlier this week, the IDF located and destroyed a

rocket manufacturing facility in Rafah, where they found medium-to-long-range rockets and other weapons.

Israeli Ambassador: U.N. has failed Gaza. It’s time for a new era

In

a new op-ed , Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon highlighted UNRWA's persistent support for terrorist organizations in Gaza and called on the international community to reject this corrupt agency:

"It’s time to address an uncomfortable truth. UNRWA-Gaza has monumentally failed the people of Gaza. It has failed in its original mandate to educate Gazans and help, not hinder, peace. And, as a U.N. agency, it has become overrun by terrorism."

"Rather than focusing on education, health care and social services, UNRWA-Gaza has been unmasked, offering relief – and cover – to Hamas, an internationally recognized terrorist organization, while also working hand-in-hand with their diplomatic proxy, the Palestinian Authority. Together, they perpetuate a virulent hatred of Jews, glorify violence and prolong conflict..."

"Now’s the time for a shift. It is time for the U.N. to dissolve UNRWA and stop being collaborators in conflict to start being partners in peace."

"If the international community truly cared about the people of Gaza, it would support moves to install alternative agencies to replace UNRWA’s activities in Gaza."

Palestinian Authority suspends operations of Al Jazeera

The Palestinian Authority (PA)
[link removed]
on Wednesday ordered the temporary suspension of Qatar's Al Jazeera news network's broadcasts across the West Bank.

"This decision comes in response to Al Jazeera’s insistence on broadcasting inciting content and reports characterized by misinformation, incitement, sedition and interference in Palestinian internal affairs," the official PA news agency said.

Al Jazeera is also banned in Israel, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Egypt.

Notably, many of the loudest voices who were critical of Israel suspending Al Jazeera were silent when the PA and other Arab states took the same action.
