Dear John,
Last year was transformative for farmed animals—and it's all thanks to compassionate advocates like you. Your commitment to creating a kinder world for animals has fueled real, measurable progress, and we'd love for you to join us in making 2025 even more impactful.
Here's some of the change we made for animals in 2024:
- Easing suffering for millions: More than 650 million chickens raised for meat and 125 million hens used for eggs were spared the worst cruelty last year because of welfare policies we helped secure or pressure companies to implement. Even more profound, policies secured last year will reduce suffering for eight billion more animals.
- Exposing cruelty: We released 10 investigations into factory farms and slaughterhouses, exposing hidden abuse and sparking public outcry.
- Securing corporate and legislative successes: Seven companies fulfilled their animal welfare promises, while 12 others took their first steps toward meaningful progress. Advocacy efforts propelled 45 pivotal meetings with congressional staff, driving critical reforms and championing two groundbreaking federal bills.
- Advancing plant-based progress: More than 800 schools now serve plant-based meals at least one day a week, and plant-based policies impacted over 100 government food contracts—reducing demand for animal products.
These milestones show what's possible when we fight together for animals. But our work is far from over. Every day, countless animals still endure unimaginable cruelty. This is where you come in.
