Dear Supporter,
Our first ever Virtual Early Childhood Advocacy Week was a great success! Throughout this week, hundreds of letters were sent to Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker and state legislators, advocating for the prioritization of early learning programs and services in the Fiscal Year 2021 budget. With each letter sent and social post shared, you made your voices heard – thank you!
We anticipate that the legislature will vote on the FY 2021 budget package shortly, which will help sustain the state’s early childhood system during and beyond the COVID-19 health crisis. We will provide further details after the budget is signed into law by the governor. Thank you again for joining us for a week of virtual advocacy and also for everything you do throughout the year for children and families!
