As a voting rights attorney, I have fought to expand access to the ballot box, safeguard our elections and protect our democracy for generations to come. The coronavirus pandemic has presented significant logistical barriers and health risks related to casting a ballot in person.

As your Representative, listening to you helps me reflect North Texas values in Washington. Please take a moment to let me know how you feel about voting access.

As we continue to fight COVID-19 and approach election season, it’s critical we make sure that citizens can vote safely. I recently voted to pass the Heroes Act which includes federal funds for election assistance. No one should fear contracting COVID-19 at a polling place.

During a global pandemic, it is critical that every Texan can safely exercise their constitutional right to vote. I urge state officials to ensure a safe and accessible election by extending a vote by mail option.
