Will you stand with ICAN in 2025?

Happy New Year, Friend!

Dear Friend,

On behalf of everyone at ICAN, I want to wish you a fantastic 2025.

I would also like to ask you to please stand with us in speaking out against nuclear weapons in this critical year.

2025 marks 80 years since the first ever nuclear bomb explosion (July 16) and the U.S. atomic bombings of Hiroshima (August 6) and Nagasaki (August 9). For 80 years, the world has lived under the shadow of nuclear weapons. It's time to say: enough. This 80th anniversary presents an opportunity to turn the media, cultural and political attention that comes with such moments into real action for nuclear disarmament.

ICAN campaigners around the world are ready for a year full of action that honours the lives lost, amplifies the voices and stories of the survivors of nuclear weapons use and testing, and demands change. But we will need your support.

We have big plans for 2025, to demand the end of nuclear weapons at every key moment: from marking the anniversaries of the bombings of Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and the Trinity test, to the 3rd Meeting of States Parties of the UN treaty banning nuclear weapons, to large-scale online campaigns. Will you consider making a gift to power that work?

Our work is only possible thanks to people around the world who stand with ICAN and believe that a world free of nuclear weapons is not only possible, but worth taking action for.

I look forward to seeing all we will achieve together this year.
