Materials Management Planning Grant Now Available

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) is announcing the 2025 Materials Management Planning Grant Request for Work Programs.

EGLE is offering grants to Michigan counties for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the new Materials Management Plans (MMP) that are required per Part 115, Solid Waste Management, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended.  The amount of the awarded grant funds varies based on how the county is completing this effort, either as a single county or collaborating with other counties; and the total residents of the county based on the 2020 U.S. Census results.
