Hello,

This is a critical moment in history. We are seeing massive unemployment, a rise in food insecurity, and poverty growing each and every day.

All the while, Washington Republicans are too busy pleasing their wealthy friends to act on more coronavirus-relief. Trump himself has spread misinformation, threatened to pull state funding, and is pushing for states to re-open, risking hundreds of thousands of lives.

The Democratic House just passed the Heroes Act to increase testing, contact tracing, and outreach for communities of color hit hardest by COVID-19. I’m also a proud co-sponsor of the Paycheck Recovery Act to cover 100% of wages because families cannot afford to miss another paycheck.

As the Democratic House continues to help our most vulnerable communities struggling during this time, the Republican-controlled Senate is dragging their feet and refusing to act while families struggle to pay the bills and children go hungry.

We must protect all workers and push for big ideas that will meet the scale of this crisis. Americans cannot wait any longer for the support they deserve.
