John, I have some exciting news:

I just got a major endorsement from the New York State Nurses Association — the largest nurses' union in the state!

This endorsement means a lot to me, John, and I'm honored to receive it, especially during a time like this.

One of my sisters is a care worker supporting vulnerable seniors, and I've seen how nurses are some of our most essential care workers in this pandemic. They are putting their very lives on the line to fight this virus every day.

I hope to fight just as hard for our nurses in Congress as they do for us. But I can't get there without your support — will you chip in $5 to my campaign? We have just about a month until the primary, and every dollar counts.

The choice in this primary is clear. Since I announced my campaign last year, progressive champions and organizations that fight for working-class families have vocalized their support for me and my candidacy.

I'm proud to say that NYSNA is joining organizations like the Sunrise Movement, the Working Families Party, and The Jewish Vote on our campaign's growing list of endorsers.

And while Rep. Eliot Engel has corporate PACs, lobbyists, and monied D.C. interests in his corner, our movement has support from where it matters most: New Yorkers, working-class folks, and people who want bold, progressive change.

In 32 days, we have a real chance to defeat Rep. Engel. And right now — with major endorsements like the one we just got from NYSNA — we have the best chance in years to unseat him.
