We made some important progress under President Biden, but there are still many important fights that will continue in 2025.
John, before the clock strikes midnight, I wanted to reflect on where we are and the work we need to do in 2025:
In 2024, gun violence remained the leading cause of death for American children for the second year in a row.
Don't tell me we don’t need an assault weapons ban.
This year, the total amount of medical debt owed in the United States was $220,000,000,000 — hurting more than 14 million people.
Don't tell me Medicare for All is not essential.
In the first five years since Trump’s tax cuts went into effect, 18 of the largest companies in America paid ZERO in taxes despite bringing in BILLIONS in profits. All while millions of workers struggle to make ends meet.
Don't tell me we can't close the loopholes, level the playing field, and make sure the wealthiest people and corporations pay their fair share.
As we head toward a new Trump administration and a Republican Congress, Democrats will be a line of defense against the MAGA GOP’s worst impulses.
But in addition to being an opposition party, we must also be a proposition party that brings working people in with a bold, populist agenda — on issues like Medicare for All, gun violence, paid leave, and more.
If you're ready to keep up the fight for our progressive values, chip in $3 or any amount you can afford toward our $20,000 end-of-year fundraising goal coming up at midnight TONIGHT.

We made some important progress under President Biden, but there are still important fights that will continue in 2025 — from protecting democracy and getting Big Money out of politics to protections for working families and more.
With Republicans controlling the White House and Congress, I need you by my side in this fight.
Before the clock strikes midnight, we have to close a fundraising gap in order to reach our final fundraising goal of the year. Can you contribute whatever you can to show the strength of our movement for bold, progressive change as we head into the new year?
Talk soon (in 2025),
