In June 1967, at the close of the Six-Day War, Israeli paratroopers reached the Western Wall, symbolically completing the work of reuniting Jerusalem. The war ended with one of the greatest victories in Jewish history, regaining Jewish control over the Old City of Jerusalem. No one alive tells that story better, or writes more movingly about the Jewish connection to Jerusalem, than Yossi Klein Halevi, the award-winning author of Like Dreamers: The Story of the Israeli Paratroopers Who Reunited Jerusalem and Divided a Nation. Yossi Klein Halevi will join us to celebrate Yom Yerushalayim (Jerusalem Day), the Hebrew anniversary of that victory.
