Dear John,

"We have a major donor who is matching all of today's donations," is a message I wish I could share with you. But I can't, because we don't. We are a small organization built on the many small (and a few large) donations from many individuals. I am so grateful to all of you who reached out to share your hard earned money with us this year. Every dime will go to operations of FIJA and towards building this organization back up. But we still need help.

Kirsten C. Tynan

December 21, 1972 ~ March 5, 2024

Kirsten was truly dedicated to FIJA and its mission.  I met up with her sister during her holiday visit to Arizona, and she shared with me this plaque that Kirsten received while a volunteer with FIJA. She served the cause of justice for as long as I have known her. She built FIJA back up to a sustainable organization. But the work never stops. That is why I am asking you to help us towards this year's fundraising goal.

On this final day of 2024, I want to thank you for your support of fully informed juries for all. Whether you have donated, shared FIJA's online resources with others, handed out FIJA literature with others, or created fully informed jurors in some other way this year, THANK YOU!

As the year comes to a close, we have a long way to go for the 2024 annual fundraising goal of just $60,000. John, can you help close the gap to make 100% of our goal?

Your donation of $200, $150, $50, $25 or any other amount will help ensure that government cannot conceal from jurors their full authority and responsibility in delivering just verdicts—including by jury nullification when necessary.

Your gift will create more fully informed jurors in 2025 through educational outreach such as:

continuing our search to find a top level talent to become our new executive director,

printing FIJA’s brand new, full-color brochure on jury nullification and the First Amendment (You’ll be among the first to receive one. Release date TBD),

celebrating Lysander Spooner’s birthday in January with an online discussion of his jury-related works,

hosting the 4th online State of the American Jury System presentation in February,

editing and publishing an e-book highlighting the works of Lysander Spooner on or related to jury rights issues,

developing a multi-part email series on jury nullification that will be sent to all new subscribers to the FIJA newsletter as an introductory class on jury nullification when they sign up,

continuing to expand and update FIJA.org—the world's premier resource for jury nullification education and related information—and keep it available to the public at no charge,

supporting volunteers creating fully informed jurors at courthouses, conferences, and other events with educational materials, booth fees, meal or coffee stipends, etc.

and more!

Don't miss your chance to make an impact!

We are very grateful for you, John, and are hopeful for what we can accomplish together in 2025! Though this year was not as proactive as in Kirsten's tenure, we are looking forward to building it back up in a way that would make her proud and continues the dedication to the values which the organization has always promoted.

For Liberty, Justice, and Peace in Our Lifetimes,

Robert Anthony Peters

Board Chairman

Fully Informed Jury Association

P.S. All donations received strictly go to vital expenses of FIJA as well as building our war chest for the future, including compensation for a new executive director. Neither I, nor any of the board members or volunteers receive any compensation for time spent on continuing operations and building the organization. Every penny you donate goes straight to the efforts of educationg jurors. Thank you for your support!
