Friend --
Last week, the House passed another pandemic relief bill, providing essential
funding for agencies that need to focus on fighting the COVID-19 pandemic as
well as for additional stimulus checks, health care benefits, and so much more.
But today, the Senate goes on a one-week recess for the Memorial Day holiday.
Senator McConnell had a week to allow the Senate to begin working on the bill.
Instead, he let it sit all last week, and now it will sit all next week, without
being taken up.
If this bill eventually passes in the Senate, it will provide much-needed
additional relief for millions of Americans. That's why Mitch McConnell needs to
take up this bill immediately.

Members of the House have done their job. Now, it's up to the Senate to get this
bill passed and bring immediate relief to the people and agencies who need it
the most.
But instead of putting our chamber to work on this relief bill, Mitch is too
busy jamming right-wing judges through the confirmation process. Americans are
still in the midst of this pandemic, and millions are hurting economically. What
have Senate Republicans chosen to do? They say it's time for Congress to just
"pause."
At a time when millions of Americans have tested positive for COVID-19 and more
than 38 million Americans are newly unemployed because of this pandemic, we
cannot pause and we cannot wait to act.
Will you please add your name to tell Mitch McConnell that the Senate needs to
take up this bill ASAP?
