Friend, I am proud to endorse Alex and hope you will let me explain why he’s an exemplary candidate for Congress and leader for change.

I first heard about Alex through his late brother, Doug, who was a Pittsfield resident. Doug’s beaming pride for his younger brother’s accomplishments was so palpable and impressive that I was compelled that evening to google this young man’s already illustrious career in politics (hoping I could absorb some of his magic through virtual osmosis). 

Since taking office as Mayor at the ripe old age of 22, Alex spearheaded an impressive rebirth for his city. His accomplishments for Holyoke explain why he has been re-elected three times: from tackling the opioid epidemic and welcoming hundreds of Puerto Rican families displaced by Hurricane Maria to defending reproductive justice and building affordable housing solutions -- Alex truly is a leading champion for not only progressive values, but human values. 

Alex’s grassroots campaigning format rings of true authenticity and human connection.  He refuses to take a dime from corporate PACs. And, in this day and age of impersonal robocalls, mass mailings, and the ease of corporate campaign dollars, a candidate who makes himself available to the public and earns every contribution dollar the old fashion way brings back the human element to politics.  

I am proud to endorse Alex’s run for Congress and his agenda that will uphold human dignity and restore our democracy!
